This aged Shou Mei White Tea Cake is from the Fuding areas of Fujian Province in China. Made with Fuding Dabai that is harvested in spring with picking ratio of one bud to three or four leaves. Traditional techniques are used to make Shou Mei white tea cakes. It is one of few kinds of teas that age well. Good quality ages Shou Mei has richer aroma that resembles medicine with more mature yet mellow flavour. The name of Shou Mei tea comes from its crescent shaped leaves that resemble eyebrows as “Shou” means longevity and “Mei” means eyebrow. Drinking aged Shou Mei white tea brings many health benefits such as anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-aging.
