Shen Tong Zhu Yu Wan is a classical Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula first recorded by Dr. Wang Qing-Ren in the Qing Dynasty, over 150 years ago. The name translates to "Pain Expelling Pill" – specifically designed to address stubborn, chronic pain that has not responded to other treatments .
Unlike standard pain relievers that simply block pain signals, this formula targets the root cause according to TCM: blood stasis (stagnation) blocking the body's channels and collaterals. When blood cannot flow freely, the result is fixed, stabbing pain that lingers for months or year.
You may benefit from Shen Tong Zhu Yu Wan if you experience the following:
-
Chronic pain in the shoulders, arms, lower back, legs, or throughout the body that has not responded to other treatments
-
Pain that feels sharp, stabbing, or fixed in one location (does not move around)
-
Pain that worsens at night or with rest
-
Joint pain accompanied by stiffness, numbness, or a heavy sensation in the limbs
-
Pain that is aggravated by cold or damp weather
-
A history of old injuries that continue to cause discomfort
-
Limited range of motion in affected joints
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this pattern is called "Blood Stasis obstructing the Channels" – when congealed blood blocks the normal flow of Qi and blood, causing persistent pain. The formula is traditionally used for "Bi syndrome" (painful obstruction syndrome) where Wind, Cold, and Dampness have invaded the channels and become trapped alongside stagnant blood.
Directions: Adults: 6 pills 2 times per day. Orally taken with warm water.
