All of our ginseng slices are vertically cut from dried ginseng root which ensure stronger flavor and more infusions. Ginseng slices cut from fresh ginseng roots tend to have whiter color, thinner slices but larger surfaces when cut horizontally yet offer much less flavor and fewer infusions.
How to use ginseng slices?
To make a cup of tea, use 6-12 ginseng slices, add boiling water, steep for 4-5 minutes and enjoy! Ginseng slices can be steeped multiple times and then eaten if desired. To adjust the taste, use more or less ginseng slices and add honey/jujubes/goji berries/ rose buds/etc if desired. Tea balls and strainers are recommended.
To make soup ( chicken soup), add 5-10 grams of ginseng slices when soup is almost done and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
