Fujian Jasmine Green Tea is made with spring harvested green tea scented with fresh jasmine flowers buds that are hand picked during summer. Only the buds that are ready to bloom are picked and stored until nightfall when the flower petals open and release rich fragrance. Green tea leaves and jasmine flowers are placed in alternating layers so that the tea leaves can absorb the fragrant natural oils of the jasmine flowers. The scenting process also enables the green tea leaves to be infused with the floral and sweet jasmine flavor.
